A true artisan of her craft, Dr. Rachel Barrie brings more than three decades of casking experience to The Glendronach. With a history of making and sharing the finest single malt with whisky lovers and aficionados across the globe, Rachel has worked for the Scotch Whisky Research Institute and distilleries from all the regions of Scotland. She holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Edinburgh, and has been inducted as a Keeper of the Quaich.

Recent accolades include being voted Master Blender of the Year, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award and becoming the first lady of Scotch inducted into the Whisky Hall of Fame.

A highly experienced and passionate whisky expert with over 30 years experience in the industry, previously enjoying roles in Production, Warehouse and Cask Management, Stewart Buchanan travels across  continents hosting tastings and attending single-malt events. He is passionate about working with whisky fans all over the world  to help as many people as possible experience all the expressions offered by The Glendronach.

Kirsten works closely with Rachel Barrie on all aspects of the blender’s craft, including spirit quality, product development and innovation, cask selection, whisky and wood management. Kirsten moved into blending after building her foundations in whisky and gin production in Glasgow, and Leith, Edinburgh.
