This isn’t just a tour of where we make whisky; it’s a tour of how we’ve built a future for it.

Step behind the scenes with your hosts, William Baxter, Expansion Project Manager and Nicol Mutch, Production Manager, and into the legacy of The Glendronach.

As we celebrate 200 years in the Valley of Forgue, this experience offers a rare look at how we’ve married 19th-century tradition with 21st-century engineering. Begin with a relaxed private viewing of our blueprints before venturing into the heart of our new production facilities and concluding with a curated tasting and rare Q&A opportunity.

We invite you to join us for an evening of unparalleled luxury, as we welcome our Master Blender, Dr. Rachel Barrie to host an intimate exploration of our most exquisite and rarest expressions.

A true artisan of her craft, Dr. Rachel Barrie brings more than three decades of casking experience to The Glendronach. Embark on a curated journey, exploring four of The Glendronach’s most exceptional whiskies including, Grandeur Batch 12, 1989 Kingsman Edition, 30 Year Old and the pinnacle of refinement; 40 Year Old. This truly is a remarkable evening of complexity and character.

A Grand Evening With Stewart Buchanan

Join us at The Glendronach Distillery for an evening of Grand whiskies with our Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan. This evening is dedicated to The Glendronach Grandeur – a hand-selected symphony of the oldest and most magnificent Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, meticulously composed by Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie. Every year since its inception in 2010, each limited edition batch of The Glendronach Grandeur series has been revered by connoisseurs and malt whisky aficionados for its magnificence of character and full-bodied style. You will be welcomed with a cocktail and canapés on arrival, followed by a tasting of Grandeur Batches 10, 11 and 12, finishing your evening with a dram of our distillery exclusive single cask.

Step into the heart of our distillery for a day of celebration, heritage, and high spirits on Saturday 15th August from 11am to 5pm. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of our Highland single malt or an inquisitive local looking for a great afternoon out, the Glendronach Gathering has something for everyone. Entry to the main event is free, so bring your friends and family and soak up the anniversary celebrations.

Be part of history and join us as we officially open our renovated distillery at 12pm to toast the next 200 years. Take a walk through our archive wall to relive 200 years of sherry mastery. Or simply sit back and enjoy a day full of local live music, food, whisky and celebration.

While our grounds are open to all, you can dive deeper into the Glendronach craft by booking one of our curated experiences or complimentary tours.

A Bicentennial Celebration
with Rachel Barrie

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the heart of the Highlands. To mark two centuries of unwavering dedication to Sherry cask maturation, we invite you to an exclusive, immersive weekend at The Glendronach. Hosted by our Master Blender, Dr. Rachel Barrie, this pilgrimage is a deep dive into the rich heritage and sherried future of our distillery.

Your home for the weekend is the historic Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Club. Enjoy a two-night stay in a setting as rich and refined as the whisky itself. Sit down to dinner with Rachel on your first evening where stories take centre stage. Rachel will reflect on her journey as Master Blender, sharing her vision for the 200th anniversary milestone.

After a relaxed morning, enjoy an immersive descent into the Valley of the Brambles, learning of how The Glendronach became world renowned in sherry cask maturation with a sensory exploration of our mastery.

The weekend reaches its crescendo with an evening of unparalleled elegance at Boynsmill House. Within the walls of the founder’s own residence, you will join Rachel for a multi-course celebratory banquet. A menu designed to complement the robust notes of Oloroso and the sweetness of Pedro Ximénez, featuring the finest local Highland produce.

After a final Highland breakfast at Meldrum House, we return to the valley of Forgue for a quiet, intimate conclusion to the Bicentennial Celebration. As the gates of The Glendronach close behind you, you leave not just as a guest, but as a custodian of the The Glendronach legacy.
